Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico and is an American-Mexican actress. She sings as well. Her mother raised her throughout the USA she faced a lot of racial taunts which gave her feeling of being unwanted. Her confidence began to grow during the 9th grade, when she entered a school audition. She was praised for her singing. This not only increased her confidence but her ambitions transformed. The 22-year-old earned an education from the Julliard School in New York. When she was 23, she made her debut on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films with You've Got Mail. Her biggest breakthrough was when she appeared in the part in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway show Spamalot garnering not only an award called the Tony Award for her performance as well as a lot of critical praise. Later that year, as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy on ABC, she gained greater appreciation. She is also a known artist and published an extended version of her play. She is an activist who works tirelessly to promote LGBT equality.
